Quick Update

The site for www.abrahamsdream.com has been launched. Go read about Abraham, his dream, and what you can do to help this faithful, young man achieve his dream. Meanwhile, keep praying for all those out there trying to spread the light in this dark world.

"In our lifetime, wouldn't it be sad if we spent more time washing dishes or swatting flies or mowing the yard or watching television than praying for world missions?" -Dave Davidson

That's pretty cool. Have you seen "Hotel Rwanda"? It follows the plight of a family who finds themselves in a situation similar to Abraham's family--only in Rwanda during the 1994 genocide crisis. It's a heart-breaking movie to watch, but since it's an entirely true story, I think it's necessary for us (especially as Christians) to educate ourselves as to the crises that are going on out there in the world. It helps us know how to help!

Blessings on Abraham and his family and all those who are trying to get him back home.

Very true. Actually I have seen Hotel Rwanda, and it's one of my favorites. Another good one is called "The Motorcycle Diaries" about the life of "Che" Gueverra and I've heard "Born into Brothels" is another one though I have yet to see it.
Props to the IHSIG film nights here at QCOM for expanding my international cinema knowledge. Any other recommendations?
